Description
The 220V AC Voltage Detection Module is designed to safely detect the presence of 220V AC and convert it into a TTL-compatible output signal. Featuring optocoupler isolation, this module ensures electrical safety and reliable signal transmission for microcontroller (MCU) and PLC-based systems. Ideal for automation, monitoring, and power detection applications.
Key Features
- AC Voltage Detection: Detects 220V AC presence and converts it into a safe, logic-level (TTL) output signal.
- Optocoupler Isolation: Electrically isolates the high-voltage AC circuit from the low-voltage control system for safety and stability.
- Wide Power Supply Compatibility:
- Operates at 3V – 5V for microcontroller systems (e.g. Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi).
- Operates at 24V for PLC applications.
- Easy Integration:
- Green 2P Terminal (5.0mm): Connects directly to the 220V AC input.
- 3P Terminal: Provides OUT, VCC, and GND pins for MCU or PLC interface.
- Compact Design: Small footprint (73mm × 15mm) makes it suitable for embedded and industrial projects.
How It Works
- When 220V AC is detected, the module outputs a TTL HIGH signal.
- The optocoupler provides complete isolation between the high-voltage AC input and low-voltage logic output.
-
For PLC use:
- Connect COM (24V) to power, OUT to PLC input, and GND to the negative terminal.
Safety Warning
- High Voltage Hazard: Do NOT touch or handle any internal components while powered — the input side carries live 220V AC.
- Always ensure proper insulation, mounting, and electrical safety when integrating into your system.
Application
- Power Line Monitoring: Detect the presence or absence of AC mains power.
- Smart Home Automation: Interface with MCUs or PLCs to control devices based on AC line status.
- Industrial Control Systems: Used for voltage presence feedback in machinery and process automation.
- Generator and UPS Monitoring: Detects when mains power fails or returns.
- Safety Interlocks: Integrate into systems requiring AC detection before operation.
