The MAX489 is a low-power, half-duplex RS-485/RS-422 transceiver designed for reliable communication over long distances and in electrically noisy environments. It is ideal for industrial and commercial applications that require robust data transfer. The MAX489 features enhanced noise immunity, ESD protection, and operates from a single 5V supply. It supports data rates up to 250 kbps and includes both a driver and a receiver in a standard 8-pin package.
