Description
The VL6180X Time-of-Flight (ToF) Sensor Module is an advanced proximity and ambient light sensor based on ST’s FlightSense™ technology. Unlike traditional sensors that rely on reflected light intensity, the VL6180X measures actual distance using light travel time, ensuring accurate readings regardless of object color or surface. This compact 3-in-1 optical module integrates a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor (ALS), and IR VCSEL emitter, making it ideal for space-constrained and low-power applications. It offers reliable short-range distance measurement and precise light sensing, with easy integration via an I2C interface.
