Description:
The MOC3083 is an optocoupler designed for triggering triacs and provides electrical isolation between input and output circuits. It consists of a GaAs infrared LED optically coupled to a monolithic silicon detector performing the function of a zero voltage crossing bilateral triac driver. The MOC3083 is commonly used in applications that require interfacing logic level control signals to high voltage AC loads, ensuring safe and reliable switching.
